NEW ELECTORAL ROLL THIS YEAR

This year St Luke’s like all CofE Churches must have a completely new Church Electoral Roll.  By now everyone on the old Roll should have received a personal letter from the Churchwardens with a form inviting them to apply to go on the new Roll.

More application forms are available from a Churchwarden for anyone else wishing to be enrolled and eligible to do so i.e. a baptised member of the Church of England (or another in communion with it, or which subscribes to the doctrine of the trinity), aged 16 or over, and resident in the parish or who has regularly attended public worship in the parish during the last 6 months.

The completed application forms must be returned to a Churchwarden asap in church or direct to Wendy Bond, the parish Electoral Roll Officer (16 Chester Road, Holmes Chapel) no later than Sunday 17th March after which the new Roll will be compiled.

The new Roll will be published in church from Sunday 24th March when it will come into effect ready for the Annual Church Meetings on Sunday 7th April 2019.

ALTAR FLOWERS

The new rota is in the church for anyone able to help with providing altar flowers.  Anne Stafford (T533504) or Anne Lane (T532870) will happily explain what is involved!

WEBSITE CHANGES - the Church website is being rebuilt in new more secure software.  The process will soon be complete but in the meantime this temporary site gives basic information about services and who to contact.  Information from the Registers is published in the monthly Church Magazine available at the back of church.

BARNABUS thank you for your continuing support of the Barnabus charity, helping the homeless on the streets of Manchester - suggestions for donations here: Gifts of clothing, toiletries and non-perishable food can be left in the church porch at any time.
